Describe what you like or dont like about your book so far.
I like the book Hate List. The reason I like it is because the it tells you about the past. Its like a flashback and like telling you the present. It helps me understand what is going on and like what happened for her boyfriend to make him shoot.
Explain what the main character's most pressing problem is at this time.
In the book the Hate List the main problem is she's trying to figure out why she's in the hospital. She just came out of surgery and she's having a hard time understanding. She don't understand what's going on. Even though there was a shooting at her school and she doesn't understand that he boyfriend is dead.
What are the three big questions you have at this time?
The three big questions I have at this time in the book Hate List by Jennifer Brown are why did her boyfriend kill those kids and injured her? What made him think she wanted those people dead? Did he really love Val.? Was it all over love? I'm going to have to read more to find out.

How would I solve the problem in the book?
I would solve the problem in the book Hate List by not making the list. The list just made everything eles worse. I would also dumb her boyfriend because it seems like he was a total sweetheart in the beginning of the book but when he started hanging out with someone that kept him distant. Got him in to drugs.
How does the settting affect what is happening in the book?
I'm reading Hate List by Jennifer Brown. The book is about this couple and how they make this list of people they hate. The boyfriend takes it seriously and shoots the people at school. He ends up killing a lot a people and he even shoots his own girlfriend. The girlfriend is trying to go back to the same school. Everyone thinks she was in on the shooting with him. The setting at the school is quite some people don't even want her there. The people in her class act different towards her.

What would be one small detail that, if changed, might chage the outcome of the story.
In the book Lost Boy I think if the mom wouldn't have started beating david and abusing him or even brainwashed him to make him think he was "it" or "being a bad boy". I think david and his family would have been happy and everything wouldn't have ended the way it did.
How do you feel at the end of the reading today? what about the plot, setting, and/ or characters creates that mood?
At the end of todays reading, in Lost Boy, I thought it was very hard for david to tell the judge the truth about his mom. I feel sad because he never gets to see his mom nor brothers ever again. Then i'm happy for david because he doesn't get beaten anymore. He never has to feel the pain he did when he was living with his mom. I also feel bad for him because he doesn't really know how to act in the house because he was locked up in his room or doing chores. He is also really hyper sometimes.
